Watoto Choir 2010

Another unforgettable year as we were able to host the Watoto Children's choir in Milton Keynes! Amazingly we were asked by Watoto to host the choir again just weeks before they were due to arrive as there had been a change in their shedule. We absolutley rose to the challenge as an army of willing individuals across MK and beyond got together to make the very best of them being in Milton Keynes.

Completely wonderful is a way of describing the Watoto children. So many people were moved and touched by their stories of courage and hope. Thank you so very much to everyone involved in organising, hosting and supporting the choir. Its amazing what can be achieved when people come together in one cause. Thank you to everyone who gave towards this great organisation who do everything with such excellence.

An incredible £5,000.00 was raised across the two days.

Concerts were at the following venues:

Tuesday 6th July 2010 - 6:30pm
St Marys Church- Bletchley, Church Green Road, Bletchley, Milton Keynes

Wednesday 7th July 2010 - 6:30pm
Olney Baptist Church, Market Square, Olney, Buckinghamshire

The choir also visited Shenley Brook End Secondary School and Hazeley Secondary School.

"What a blessing", "Incredibly moving", "I wish I'd invited someone with me" were just some of the many comments given by those who had the priveldge of seeing the Watoto Children's choir.

For those of us who helped to organise and be apart of their time in Milton Keynes is was an inforgettable experience that we will all cherish. The children are an absolute blessing and their stories are of one of great hope.
